A delightful two storey original black & white mid-terrace cottage with gable. It formed part of a field hospital during the English Civil War fought between Oliver Cromwell's Roundheads and Royalist Cavalier forces.

Within a few miles of the cottage you will find; Fishing, Pony Trekking, Riverside walks along the banks of the Severn and Teme. Golf is available and there are two courses within three miles. For those who enjoy gardening there are many local nurseries, garden centres and gardens to visit. The area abounds with attractive village pubs serving great food. Why not coincide your visit with the Jazz or Folk festivals that are held in nearby Malvern, and Bromyard.

Worcester has a fine Cathedral. The current building, formally named The Cathedral Church of Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary, was begun in 1084 while its crypt dates from the 10th Century. The chapter house is the only circular one in the country while the cathedral also has the distinction of having the tomb of King John.
New Road is home to Worcestershire County Cricket Club. The ground sits in the shadow of the lovely Cathedral and alongside the River Severn and this makes it one of the most attractive grounds in the country for watching county cricket

Hereford itself is home to the world famous Mappa Mundi on display in Hereford Cathedral. The map is attributed to one "Richard of Haldingham and Lafford". I It is drawn on a single sheet of vellum and measures 158 cm by 133 cm, making it the largest medieval map currently in existence.

Gloucestershire

Cheltenham Spa is located on the edge of the Cotswolds and has been a health and holiday spa town resort since the discovery of mineral springs there in 1716. The town is famous for its Regency architecture and is said to be "the most complete regency town in England".
The town is also famous for being the home National Hunt Festival in March. Races during the 5 day meeting include the Gold Cup and Champion Chase.
The town hosts several festivals of culture, principally the annual Cheltenham Festival of Literature.

Warwickshire

Stratford upon Avon is a popular tourist destination owing to its status as birthplace of the world famous playwright and poet William Shakespeare, receiving about three million visitors a year from all over the world. The towns Swan Theatre stages many productions of the great mans work throughout the year.

Warwick lies upon the River Avon. The town is famous for Warwick Castle, the construction of which began in 1068. The town centre is also known for its historic architecture, and contains a mixture of Tudor and 17th-century buildings.

By Bus - The cottage is served by a regular bus service, #412, running between Worcester and Malvern. The bus stop is but a minutes walk away from the cottage.

By Train - Worcester has 2 railway stations with direct connection from London and Birmingham

Airports - Travel times by car from the airport; Heathrow - 2 hours. Birmingham - 45 minutes. Coventry - 60 minutes. Bristol - 1 hour.
